Femme Luxe Finery

Femme Luke Finery and I’ve made an edit of my four favorite women’s dresses that are suitable for a variety of occasions.
In my profession of presenting, modelling, blogging etc. it’s important to have options for several different types of occasions. I’ll explain this below as I break down each dress by where I would wear it and how I’ve styled it to reflect my personal style:
Red Tartan Silk Shirt Dress (click to shop)

This dress caught my eye immediately because I LOVE an excuse to wear a bold red lip! It’s a perfect casual (but still polished) look that I would wear to one of my shows upon arrival. Great for an autograph signing or pre-show meeting as well. Bonus: it’s also comfortable and loose so traveling in it is a breeze! I paired it with some cute glasses to keep my eye makeup minimal in order to focus on the red lipstick. I’ve also added some vintage gold hoop earrings (which I don’t normally wear but I thought it echoed the shine of the buttons) and some sassy black knee high boots. My red handbag added that extra pop of color to finish the ensemble.

Our next dress is PERFECT for date night or evening drinks with friends. I love that it’s simple yet elegant. The shape is gorgeous with elegant billowing sleeves, a belted waist and a beautiful deep neckline to show off your décolletage. A great backdrop for a special necklace as I’m wearing here. This is a vintage cameo style which I thought looked quite romantic with this silhouette. To showcase the neck and collarbone even more I opted to sweep my hair up and for footwear I always appreciate a strappy black heel that shows off a pedicure. I’m in love with this dress! Pro tip: dab a bit of liquid highlighter on your collarbone and cleavage for a sexy sheen. Without sounding silly, your chest is on display in this dress…so rock it!

Bringing it back down to “cool and casual”, this sweatshirt style dress is so comfortable! However, thanks to the VOGUE logo emblazoned on the front, it still sends a fashionable message. Pairing it with knee high boots showcases a small but daring slash of bare thigh…super sexy! But erring on the side of caution I didn’t want it to be overtly sexy. To balance it out I put on my favorite kitty kat wooly cap and glasses so it’s more “nerd chic” than “sex kitten”. I’d wear it to lunch with friends or even on a day date with my husband. Trust me, guys love the look of peekaboo skin over knee high boots. It’s a proven theory!
Black and White Striped Halter Neck Dress – Jadia (click to shop)

Now if you follow my blog you know by now that I am ALL about a “matchy-matchy” moment. I had this headband at the ready for when this dress arrived. For me it’s cute enough to be a “show look” meaning I could wear it presenting, ring announcing etc.! Especially because it’s a buttoned blazer style dress. A hint of “corporate” coupled with a whole lot of sass. Black and white stripes are a firm favorite of mine. They make a bold statement yet remain timeless. A black blazer over this dress would be adorable too! It’s quite versatile.
In closing I’m including a link to the section of Femme Luxe Finery dress section here but I do encourage you to browse the entire site! You can expect a great selection, pieces that will stand out in a crowd and in the event you need help their customer service is excellent! I’ll certainly be shopping there again soon. What I love most is the affordable prices and interesting, diverse outfits. I see SO much of the same these days on bloggers and social media stars. In my opinion it’s time we get a little more daring, stop with so much “Athleisure” and get back to dressing UP! Not down. I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments on these dresses below…and if you find a perfect look from Femme Luxe Finery be sure to share it with me and use the hashtag #LuxeGirl to spread the word!
Fashionably yours,
