Fringe Booties
FRINGE BOOTIES

Once again the 1970’s have inspired me this season! I am on my way to a photoshoot in Toronto today wearing this exact outfit in the airport from head to toe. With Hendrix blaring through my earbuds I am feeling positively groovy! But before I board my plane let’s break down this look, shall we?
Seeing these fringe booties at quite possibly THE coolest shop in Orlando sent me into an immediate Fashion frenzy. I HAD to have them. Even without having the slightest clue as to how I would wear them. But somehow I took the mystery out of fringe booties. Once and for all! It’s all about proportion. With a huge statement shoe such as this, skinny jeans rolled up to showcase the shoe seemed appropriate. And to balance the tight fit of the jeans a swing tank also felt right. Then….to offset the volume of the top I chose this green suede cropped military jacket by our friends at “Wilson’s Leather”. I have found countless affordable jackets & coats at their outlet. You can’t go wrong there.
I should also mention (or brag…) that these jeans were TEN dollars at XXI; another fool-proof store for both classic and trendy pieces. Plus the most important element of this look, the fringe booties, were only FIFTEEN dollars at Dechoes. They’re vintage…cheap…and make me feel like an ultra-hip descendant of Jane Birkin. Which makes them priceless. Far out, right? Off to Canada I go.
Thanks for reading! –V. xoxo
