Happy SoCalVal-entine’s day one and all! Being unashamedly girly it should come as no surprise that I support any holiday that encourages women to embrace their femininity by wearing pink, receiving beautiful flowers and celebrating LOVE! Whether you’re single or taken I hope you’ll take the time to create a themed outfit this year that leaves you weak in the knees.

My last UK trip included a frantic trip to River Island where I purchased this hot pink off the shoulder top. It really cheered me up to wear such a bright, powerful color when it was freezing! (At least to this Florida girl it felt freezing…)

I was lucky to find this skirt for less than $20 at a trendy shop called “Sirens” in the Florida Mall that I often go to for “show clothes” aka inexpensive outfits that don’t break the bank. If they rip, lose their shape or get stained with blood (I work in wrestling, remember? Don’t look so horrified!) then I don’t worry about it. I save my more expensive pieces for “real life”. Where spills are few and rips are rare.

The shape of this adorable skirt and the sparkle in this platform shoe make the entire ensemble shown here absolutely perfect for any fancy date night. But THIS much pink is best suited for Valentine’s Day only. I’ll pair this skirt with a simpler white or black top and a more demure shoe for days I’m not feeling as daring.

Top this look off with a slightly tousled half-updo and a romantic pink lip. Don’t forget the flavored lip gloss! Why? Because if you don’t plan on kissing a LOT on Valentine’s Day…you’re doing it all wrong.

Love (and candy hearts!), –V. Xoxo —
