SUITED FOR SPRING
As an announcer it’s always a challenge wearing business suits or business separates in this HOT climate here in Orlando! My recent trip to New Orleans for #Wrestlemania Weekend was no exception. Hot, humid weather had me wondering how to update my usual black business suit. I wanted to look professional yet season-appropriate.
I was pleased to find this lightweight tweed jacket in not boring black, but navy blue at a vintage shop. The ruffles had a floral print in white, gray and most importantly yellow…so this was the perfect time to incorporate this skirt! I popped on a vintage multi-chain necklace to tie in a few other shades of cream and gold and give the look a little sparkle.
There are SO many ways to catapult your office wear into Spring! Choose an accessory in a color that’s an adventure from your day to day uniform. Robins egg blue perhaps? Maybe a sweet baby pink? Sure you don’t want to look like an Easter egg, but putting a few fresh touches on your workwear will really put a pep in your step! As much as I love my Fall wardrobe it lightened my mood tremendously to do a “Spring Cleaning” in my closet and start pulling out pieces that were fresh and colorful.
If choosing a big statement piece like I did here with this yellow skirt is too much, try a small accessory first. Below I’ve given you a few ideas such as…
–Coral Jewelry (Looks GREAT with white! Check XXI for reasonably priced jewelry in coral, turquoise and colored gems.)
–Pink Shoes w/ Bow Detail (Bows are perfectly sweet for Spring. I love pink but ANY unexpected color on the feet looks cute with an otherwise demure outfit.)
–Spring scarf (Lightweight. Perfect under a blazer. Also an excuse to do an easy hair updo to really show it off!)
–Yellow Bag (Any bright hued bag is the easiest way to add a pop of color!)
So pick your favorite and rock the look with confidence. After all….braving the heat is easy when you look HOT! 😉
