Tutu-torial: Rocker
Tutu-torial: Rocker

Sunglasses: Forever 21 Vest: Vintage Skirt: Camden Market, London (Vintage) Bag: Aldo Scarf: Primark Boots: HerStyle —
As prissy as I am it’s hard to believe that this last look in my 4 part Tutu-torial series is my favorite. Who knew that a rock and roll spin on a tutu would feel so right to me? This is why blogging and putting together outfits is so much fun. When I take sartorial risks I often surprise myself!
With this final look I wanted to create the perfect juxtaposition between hard and soft. I chose to top this sweet tulle skirt with a very tough looking leather biker vest I found at a thrift store. I absolutely love the unexpected twist of this vest having an open criss cross pattern in back. To echo the edginess of the vest I added a heavy bootie for footwear, a skull print scarf (McQueen inspired and only 4 pounds at Primark!) and metallic silver extras.
To showcase the vest properly I swept my hair back and kept my lip color neutral, opting for a smokey eye underneath my reflective silver sunnies to channel my inner Joan Jett. If you’re sad to see this Tutu-torial end I can assure you that more fun looks are coming up here on “The Art of Overdressing”. You can expect a few more warm weather ensembles in the next month or so but between you and I? Spring/Summer is my least favorite. It’s FALL that has me over the moon for Fashion! Hope you’re ready…. 😉
